		<description>While it&#039;s true that there is a such thing as &quot;learned helplessness&quot;, it&#039;s also important to consider that we enter homeless outreach with our own learned perceptions about what other people should aspire to. You can live a meaningful life and still be homeless. Jesus did it. 

However, Sandra does appear to have some mental illness which is probably causing her to not be in her right mind. I&#039;m sure she doesn&#039;t prefer to sleep on thin carboard on cement under a bridge, but maybe something in her causes her to not know the difference. Interesting case study. I&#039;d be interested to know how she ended up in that position and how long she&#039;s been there. I wonder what she was like as a child and what happened to her family.</description>
