Bernice and Thomas

Bernice and Thomas are alone and jobless in Salt Lake City. They’re traveling from Seattle to Arizona, but due to sickness, money ran out in Utah. Now, they don’t know where any shelters are and don’t have any friends or family here.

When the rain and snow came, they had to cover themselves under a cardboard box beneath a tree until McDonalds eventually let them stay warm inside.

The winter is hard and cold in Salt Lake City, and if Bernice and Thomas can’t find a way to earn the bus fare back to Arizona, who knows when they’ll be able to continue on to somewhere they can call home.

Hey guys, I don't know if this is a good idea or not, but I thought that I would let you know. The average home price in Detroit, MI is $5,700. I found one on realtor.com that is $99! Obama's stimulus program pays for your down payment on much of them, but $99!! Not a good neighborhood, but people are growing their own food. Just wanted to let you know.

Excuse me, why did you remove the posts about the dollar homes? I hope that you did not do this because you want to take a potential home to people who have NOTHING so that you and the organizations can get more power and have more government $$$$. God knows what you did. If I am not satisfied with your answer I will send letters to everyone who fills your pockets and do everything that I can to destroy you. These people are dying and need a home. You seem to want to leave them in the dark. If this is the case, you are no better than one of the greedy elite bankers who are power hungry. My email address is: firewalk05@aol.com. I do know about you and I will let people know what you did. God knows what you are doing.

    Laura,

your comments are being flagged because they look like spam.

you are posting real estate links on each post. one is enough. you are correct, people need housing, but posting links to houses on each story will not get them housing

I love your participation, but commenting so many times on different posts with the same message is not good

Can you please leave one post up then? Letting people know that there are many one dollar homes in Detroit, MI. Please let them know that they can go to all of the realtor sites and see cheap homes, that cost almost nothing. People are creating “urban gardens” for food. Thank you.

yes Laura, post the info here and I will leave it for others

glad you are sharing, there are many homeless blogs that you may also want to visit. just remember posting same info on each will cause spam filters to go off and is not a best practice

    thanks

I found information on YouTube, where many Detroit residences are making money by investigating properties for investors. You might be able to do it by using a cheap digital camera and posting your contact info on YouTube and various sites. Somehow, you have to find the investors. Some guys have camcorders and are posting YouTube videos advertising themselves. Detroit is dangerous and is a ghetto. But it may be habitable for some of you. There are also cheap properties (say for under 1000), in Ohio, around Cleveland and other towns. You can find out everything by searching YouTube and the internet. I hope this helps someone.
