If it wasn’t for Linda’s sign I would have never thought she was homeless. Can you picture this woman sleeping outside by the Santa Monica Library?

Years ago she moved to San Fernando Valley with her boyfriend looking for work. He was a union welder for 30 years. The work ended and because of health issues they ended up homeless.

    Mark,

Isn't it strange how many folks are under the impression that the homeless choose to be homeless?

Yet, one of the things I've noted is, that whenever you ask one of your interviewees if they had three wishes what would they be, one of those wishes invariably is to have someplace to call “home.”

Being a person who falls into the homeless category in the Los Angeles area, and about to be back on the streets August 3, I'm pleased to have run into this so I can at the very least share it with those who know me and feel hopeless/helpless to be able to take any action.

I'll be linking to it. May all you meet and dialogue with have the opportunity to have a “home”. Good journeys to you.
