Emil

Emil is what the media has dubbed an “economic homeless”, which is a term I hate because I am close to being one myself.

We met in St Petersburg, Florida, where is has lived on and off the streets for two years now.

Williams Park- I know it well. We used to live in St. Petersburg, until we became homeless in 2008. We tried to stay in the city, even stayed at the Salvation Army on the southside, so my Honor Student could stay in her middle school. It’s true, what they say, about St. Pete being #2 in the country, for being mean to the homeless. We were run out on a rail. St. Pete used to be home, but I’m glad that we’re not in such a mean place with such mean people anymore. I am unable to work because of late stage Lyme Disease, RMSF, and Lupus. The Social Security Office there is extremely mean in St. Pete, too. They are the main reason that we became homeless. Good luck to you, Emil, I feel you, brother!
