Mark had been traveling around Canada looking for work and finally found a job in Winnipeg. Trouble is, he doesn’t get his first paycheck for ten days and still needs money to survive.

Mark says panhandling is better than doing crime and going to jail, and even though he can be ticketed for panhandling, it’s worth the risk since he has no other way to make money.

    Okay. What is it with these people? This Mark is full of shit. He could be getting emergency food at a foodbank, EXTRAS, just about every day at a foodbank, dinners at places like Siloam or Union Gospel or the Urban.

    Why do you people not question this? WHY?

    Do  you enjoy promoting this stereotype?

    There is so much even a person like this could be doing, in addition to waiting for his paycheque (hell, he could probably go to a Moneymart and get a payday loan. COME ON, people.)

    If you’re going to investigate this problem, check the realities behind it.

    Or is this Mark, simply, another guy who drinks his dinner, hm?
