The heavy rain just stopped.  The tent Christine and two other people are living in near St Louis was almost collapsed and in desperate need a repair.  Christine got out of the tent and we started to talk. She said her dream was to get her poems published. I asked her to recite one and her poem “I Am From” was so beautiful I asked her if she’d share it with all of us.

Christine is only 21 years old and has been homeless in St Louis since aging out of foster care.
