Yesterday I was out helping Housing 1000 complete a homeless registry in Santa Clara County. We went to a homeless camp where I met Edwin.

Edwin has been homeless two years. He says he is mechanically inclined but survives mostly by cleaning carpets.

This is the first time Edwin has seen a homeless advocate come down to the camps and I just love his reaction.
