Eric lives in a homeless shelter in Traverse City, Michigan. He also works full time as a cook in a local restaurant.

Over the winter, Eric stayed in the emergency shelter. He talks about the challenges homeless people with jobs face while living in a homeless shelter. Most shelters are not set up for second or third shift workers.

The leading cause of homelessness is the lack of affordable housing. Because of that, more people with jobs just cannot afford a place to live and end up becoming working homeless.
